Joshuah is a PhD student at Yale University in the Translational Biomedicine program, co-advised with Brian Hafler MD, PhD. He graduated with a BS in Molecular Genetics from University of Rochester, where he worked in labs investigating the role of microRNAs in D.melanogaster intestinal stem cells and immunohistochemical profiling human autoimmune skin disease, respectively. He was a post-baccalaureate research fellow at the National Cancer Institute where he worked on integrating functional -omics datasets and GWAS data to understand melanoma pathogenesis. He is currently interested in leveraging large-scale genomic data and multi-omics to discover novel approaches for treating age-related macular degeneration.
